AURORA | One man is dead after a shooting Thursday night near East Colfax Avenue and Yosemite street. Police do not have any suspects in the killing.

Aurora police say they responded around 9:30 p.m. Oct. 10 to a call of shots fired near 1600 Alton Street in north Aurora. When they arrived they found a man in the front courtyard of an apartment building that had been shot.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he died. The man’s identity is being withheld until Adams County coroners complete an autopsy.

No information about any potential suspects has been released by Aurora police.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Warren Miller at 303-739-6117. A $2,000 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers for information about the case by calling 720-913-7867.
