DENVER | Multiple wildfires are burning in Colorado as the fire danger remains high across much of the state.

The Denver Post reports that one of the latest blazes, the East Peak Fire in Huerfano County, destroyed a Boy Scout camp late Wednesday as well as some homes. The sheriff’s office says the camp was evacuated because of the fire, along with some homes, but couldn’t immediately confirm structures lost.
A fire in the foothills southwest of Denver, the Lime Gulch Fire, about 30 miles southwest of Denver has forced the evacuation of more than 100 people.
In northwest Colorado, the 850-acre Wild Rose Fire has shut down oil and gas wells in Rio Blanco County.
One backcountry wildfire burning in southwestern Colorado has spread with a quarter-mile of the Wolf Creek Ski Area.
