AURORA | A former Aurora DARE officer accused of forcing a 15-year-old runaway to take sexually explicit photos of herself received a suspended three-year prison sentence Thursday.
Former Officer Michael Mangino will also have to serve 90 days in jail and participate in a sex offender treatment program.

If he fails in the sex offender program, Mangino could face the three-year prison term.
Mangino pleaded guilty to felony exploitation of a child in April as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
At sentencing Thursday, he faced a maximum of three years in prison and a minimum of probation.
Mangino, 51, was charged with sexual exploitation of a child and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, both felonies, and was scheduled to go on in May but avoided trial by entering the plea.
The 29-year APD veteran, who is free on bond pending sentencing, also faced a misdemeanor charge of official misconduct.

Corrupt Criminal Cops should receive TWICE the prison sentence that
an ordinary citizen would receive for the same crime!
