AURORA | Aurora police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead early Monday morning, May 23, near the Denver-Aurora border.

Aurora police spokeswoman Officer Diana Cooley said officers responded around 2:25 a.m. to the intersection of Yosemite Street and East Richtofen Place on a report of shots being fired in a parking lot.

There, officers found a truck that had crashed and the driver suffering an apparent gunshot wound, she said.

The man was rushed to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Cooley said police don’t have any suspect information and investigators are looking for witnesses.
