AURORA | An unidentified man was shot and wounded Wednesday morning after he got into an argument with another man at a south Aurora gas station, and a third man pulled out a gun and shot him, according to Aurora police.

Officers were called to the Shell gas station at 3385 S. Tower Road at about 5:15 a.m. after reports of a shooting there.

“The victim got into a verbal argument with an unknown man inside of the gas station,” Aurora police spokesperson Agent Matt Longshore said in a statement.  “They both went outside, where the arguing continued. While arguing, the victim was shot by an unknown associate of the man.”

The two shooting suspects left the scene in a “blue sedan.”

“There is no other information about that vehicle, or suspects involved,” Longshore said.

The wounded man was taken to a nearby hospital. Police described his injuries as non-life-threatening.

Police said anyone with information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said.
