AURORA | A man said he was shot in the leg while walking on East Colfax Avenue in northwest Aurora early Wednesday, but provided police few details.
The man called police for help at about 1:30 a.m. and said he was walking on Colfax near Moline Street when he was shot.
“The victim did not specify if the shot came from a vehicle or another person walking, “ police said in a statement. The man “did not provide any suspect information before being transported to the hospital. “
Police are reviewing security video from the area and looking for any evidence, police said, but they have no suspects.
Police said anyone with information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said.
