AURORA | An Aurora man who police say fired a gun into the wall of his apartment Sunday is facing three attempted murder charges.
Prosecutors said the couldn’t comment on specific details on why the allegations resulted in attempted murder charges, but they did say that records show three people living in adjacent quarters in the complex could have been killed or injured, and the charges cite “extreme indifference.”
James Cathcart-Curtiss, 32, was also charged with illegal discharge of a firearm, Adams County prosecutors said Wednesday.
According to a statement from District Attorney Dave Young, Cathcart-Curtiss fired the weapon through walls inside his apartment at 5714 Gibralter Way.
He was advised of the charges Wednesday and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond, prosecutors said.
