AURORA | A man found shot dead Saturday in the parking lot of a central Aurora Walgreens has been identified by coroner officials as Jorge Alejandro Hernandez, 32, a Mexican national.
Hernandez died of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was classified as a homicide, according to police and Arapahoe County Coroner officials.
There were no suspects identified immediately following the shooting, according to Crystal McCoy, spokeswoman for Aurora police.
Officers “were flagged down” at about 9:35 p.m. Saturday near the parking lot of the Walgreens at 12051 E. Mississippi Ave., police wrote on the department blog. The store is located near the intersection of Mississippi and South Peoria Street.
Upon officers arriving, witnesses told police a man may have been shot. The man, later determined to be Hernandez, was dead when officers arrived.
