Police are investigating a shooting Sunday night that left one man dead.

According to a statement from Aurora police, the man was rushed to an area hospital around 10:35 p.m. Sunday with a gunshot wound. The man, whose name was not released, later died of his injuries.

Police said they are getting conflicting reports about where the shooting happened, but investigators believe it may have occurred near East 2nd Avenue and Peoria Street.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the shooter, police said.
