AURORA | An unidentified man in his 30s was fatally shot Wednesday morning while in the parking lot of a north Aurora apartment complex.

Police were called to the complex in the 1900 block of Blackhawk street at about 7:30 a.m. after reports of a shooting there.

“When officers arrived at the scene, they located a man who appears to be in his 30s suffering from a gunshot wound,” Aurora police spokesperson Joe Moylan said in a statement.  “The man was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.”

Police said later in the morning that there were no suspects in the case yet, and that the identity of the slain man would be released later by county coroner officials.

Police said anyone with information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said.
