AURORA | Police are asking for help in uncovering details about a man who died after being shot early Saturday morning in or near the Fuego Fuego bar at 740 Peoria St.
Cops were called to the bar at about 2 a.m. on the report of gunfire and discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Police did not release details about the man, his identity nor circumstances of the shooting. He was taken to a local hospital and died a few hours later from his shooting injuries, according to police.
Investigators are looking for a 2000 – 2005 model gold or tan Pontiac Grand AM with dark, tinted windows. The car was seen leaving after the shooting.
At this point detectives have limited information about suspects or the circumstances surrounding the shooting, according to police spokeswoman Sgt. Cassidee Carlson. Police are asking anyone with information to call Detective Matt Ingui at 303-739-6067. Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this homicide.
