AURORA | A 22-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with a shooting last week.

Isaac McCoy was advised of the charges Tuesday, Aurora police said in a statement.

According to police, McCoy was arrested after a Jan. 18 shooting near east Exposition Avenue and South Havana Street that left a woman dead.

The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office has not released the name of the woman.

In their statement, police said they aren’t sure what relationship, if any, existed between McCoy and the victim.

McCoy, who is being held without bond in the Arapahoe County Jail, has been arrested several times in Colorado on drug and traffic charges, according to state records.
