DENVER | A Denver man accused lying on an application to get access to secure areas at Denver International Airport is facing serious charges.
Twenty-year-old Terrance Lee King is due in federal court Wednesday for arraignment on a charge of making a false statement.
Prosecutors say King has convictions for unlawful possession, use, sale, distribution, or manufacture of an explosive or weapon and a felony involving illegal possession of a controlled substance. He is accused of falsely indicating he hadn’t been convicted on his application for a Denver International Airport identification badge in February, though the indictment suggests wording on the application was unclear.
Prosecutors say there is no indication he had any terrorist motives.
