AURORA | An unidentified 55-year-old man was killed Wednesday afternoon when he drove his car into a tree in central Aurora, police said.
Police were called to the intersection of East Louisiana Avenue and South Dunkirk Street at about 3 p.m. after reports of a car crash there.
“The investigation later determined a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV left the road and collided with a tree,” Aurora Police spokesperson Agent Kristopher McDowell said in a statement. “The driver, a 55-year-old Aurora man, died from his injuries.”
No other details were provided. The identity of the man will be released by coroner officials.

Sad. Driver had stroke or heart attack?
Suicide? Seat-belts not worn?
Today, occupants wearing safety-belts survive such collisions in residential areas.
