Its truly sad that Aurora claims its elections are non-partisan.
Young adults: Don’t be fooled. Democracy was never intended to be a team sport with only two teams. Be the renegade among your friends and register as Unaffiliated. Party affiliation gets you absolutely nothing– aside from identifying yourself as a likely safe vote (aka a CHUMP!)
Don’t be a Chump! And if you’re still single, date/hang-out with people at both extremes. This is the time to explore your wild side. Make both parties chase you and your elusive Undecided vote.
And don’t be fooled at attacks on the personalities of the day. Accepting the duopoly limits your choices and vision. Often, “None-of-the-above” is a worthy, honest decision. Resist the peer pressure both major parties count on. If both leading candidates suck, don’t vote for either.
Nothing will improve much without moderate Independents pulling people together. Might this be you?
