AURORA | Local police are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman who went missing from her southwest Aurora region home in December.

Sara Astatke, 24, was last seen leaving her home in 2100 block of South Beeler Way at about 5:45 p.m. Dec. 12., according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff Department

Sara Astatke, 24, was last seen leaving her home in 2100 block of South Beeler Way at about 5:45 p.m. Dec. 12., according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff Department.

“Sara is a black female, 5’7”, 120 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes,” sheriff spokesperson Ginger Delgado said in a statement. “She was wearing a black coat, blue jeans, black shoes and a scarf. She has short brown hair and in December when she went missing, it was cut in the style of a Mohawk.”

Police said  the missing person case has new urgency “as investigators have received information that other people may be responsible for her disappearance.”
