AURORA | Police are asking for help identifying the driver who struck and killed an unidentified woman Sunday night at the northbound onramp of Interstate 225 and East Colfax in Aurora.
Officers were called to the area of westbound East Colfax Avenue and the I-225 onramp at about 10 p.m. after reports of a hit-and-run crash.
“When officers arrived at the scene, they located a woman who was deceased upon arrival,” Aurora police spokesperson Joe Moylan said in a statement. “Officers have not yet located any witnesses to the crash and the at-fault driver did not remain at the scene.“
Police searched the area, Moylan said, but as of Monday morning, no additional information was released.
Police said anyone with information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said.
