AURORA | Hinkley High School was placed on “red” lockdown just before noon Friday, Sept. 11, after a report of a student texting a photo of a pistol to another student as a threat.

Aurora police were notified that a student at North Middle School reported receiving a photo of a pistol and magazine atop a Colorado Rockies backpack, presumably a threat from the student at Hinkley High School.

Police did not believe the student was in school that afternoon, but the lockdown was ordered until officials could confirm the student was not present.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether the student who sent the photo actually brought the pistol to school or was in possession of the pistol this afternoon.

  1. so…….how come all the 2nd amendment supporters and the LEO supporters didn’t run down to the school and take their weapons to back up the cops?
