AURORA | The partner of former Aurora police chief Vanessa Wilson appeared in court for the first time Friday on charges that she fabricated a child abuse allegation against Councilmember Danielle Jurinsky.
Niceta, a former employee of the Arapahoe County Department of Human Services, is accused of retaliating against an elected official, a sixth-degree felony, and making a false

report of child abuse as a mandatory reporter, a second-degree misdemeanor.
Jurinsky posted on social media that she attended the brief court hearing and later confirmed that the presiding judge granted a protection order that directed Niceta to keep her distance from the councilwoman and her family.
Niceta is accused of anonymously calling her employer and telling them that Jurinsky had sexually abused her own son. Investigators later determined that the tip was unfounded and traced the call back to a phone number belonging to Niceta, according to court documents.
Jurinsky alleges that Niceta made the allegation after the council member criticized the former Aurora police chief on talk radio the day before.
Niceta’s next court date will be at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 29 for arraignment.

Throw away the flippin’ book. LYING is a sin for a reason. Such a low move by someone who appeared to know better.
This is the beginning of what will be the long story of bureaucratic tinkering driven by people with their hard core personal political agendas. These people with their schemes to guard their political notions, or in this case the politics of past chief Wilson. And in the big picture, of local politics Wilson, is the much bigger fish in the ongoing culture war. CM- Jurinsky, has a big problem and refuses to fit within the politicly correct model, something the local Wokesters are intolerant of. Hopefully, this episode will get deep into these departments, both Arapahoe county, and the City of Aurora to expose what we the citizens see, sense, and feel are political biases that these employees chose rather than do their jobs they were hired to do.
Talk about political biases, I don’t expect the Sentinel to do too much heavy lifting in covering in depth one of the top ten local stories involving local politics. This story does not fit into the progressive solidarity of the how the Sentinel views the world.
This whole sordid mess demonstrates what happens when politics becomes the issue, left or right, but Jurinsky knew exactly what she was doing (the bidding of her handlers) when she lit the fuse.
My guess is that we won’t hear anything about this very major Aurora crime in this newspaper until August 29. Do you think Dave will write an editorial on this situation?
And if he doesn’t? I honestly cannot understand why you torture yourself reading this media source and us with your inane comments. Isn’t FOXNews sufficient for you? You certainly aren’t looking for a source to balance its extreme views.
Woke liar
I still support Chief Wilson and reserve judgment on her partner until she is proven guilty. If that happens, we on this side support the legal penalties she would deserve, as we do in all criminal cases.
Joe, I truly believe Chief Wilson being in an intimate relationship with her partner, and as things happen, I think you would agree, close partners share thoughts and thus had knowledge of this. And what if we find Wilson hands are not clean. Should Wilson then be added to the upcoming lawsuit? And if Vanessa gets added the city of Aurora will be in the soup as well. I hope this goes all the way to a trial, which CM Jurinsky, is salty enough to not settle, but instead go the distance. Then and only then will we start seeing some real transparency in these departments.
Like all the “woke” she is really just a liar
