The wounded in Aurora’s theater massacre included at least four active-duty military members.
According to a statement from the United States Department of Defense, one Navy sailor is unaccounted for and another was wounded.
Two Air Force airmen were injured, DOD said.
“The Navy and the Air Force are working with the families of these service members to ensure they have the care and attention they need,” the statement said.
A spokesperson for Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora declined to say if any of the wounded were stationed at Buckley, which is home to troops from the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps.
A source with knowledge of the situation said the fact that base officials are referring calls to the Pentagon is likely a sign some people from Buckley were injured.
