DENVER  |  A former police officer in Westminster has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for forcing a woman to engage in sex acts as he took her home from a hospital.

The Denver Post reports 41-year-old Curtis Arganbright, who worked for the Westminster Police Department, was sentenced Thursday and must register as a sex offender.

Prosecutors say that on Aug. 24, 2017, he was on duty and driving a woman who had been released from St. Anthony North Health Campus in Westminster when he stopped at about 1:30 a.m. The 36-year-old victim told investigators that Arganbright assaulted her while she was handcuffed.

Arganbright pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual contact and official misconduct.
