A fire ripped through a house near Smoky Hill Road and Tower Road on Saturday, forcing a family of four out of their home for several days.
According to Cunnigham Fire Department Division Chief David Markham, fire crews responded to the home at 18694 E. Crestridge Dr. around 3:05 Friday.
when crews arrived, smoke and flames were pouring from the second-floor windows.
firefighters had the blaze under control within 15 minutes and nobody was injured, Markham said.
Investigators believe the fire started accidentally on the home’s second floor, but they aren’t yet releasing what the cause was, Markham said.
At least one person was home when the fire started, Markham said, and the family of four who lives there has not been able to return home because of the damage.
