AURORA | With high winds gusting across the metro area, a grass fire in east Aurora closed an on ramp to the E-470 toll road Monday morning.
The cause of the blaze, which closed the northbound on-ramp from East Jewell Avenue on the toll road, has not yet been released.
Aurora Fire Rescue officials said via twitter that crews were responding to the blaze.
No injuries have been reported.
South Metro Fire Rescue and the Arapahoe County sheriff’s office also responded to the blaze.
E-470 officials said via twitter that the on ramp was closed but have not said when it will reopen.
Earlier in the day Aurora fire warned residents about the high fire danger across the region, citing dry conditions and high winds as factors.
