AURORA | One person is dead after an early-morning shooting Wednesday in north Aurora.

According to Aurora police, the shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. near East 14th Avenue and Moline Street. Police said they responded to the area on a reports of shots fired but initially couldn’t find any evidence of a shooting.

A short time later police received word from a local hospital that two people brought a third person to the hospital who had been shot. The victim died a short time later.

Investigators interviewed the two people who brought the victim to the hospital and determined the shooting happened in the 1400 block of Moline.

Police did not release the name of the victim or any description of a possible suspect.
