AURORA | Drug enforcement agents are serving warrants at several Aurora locations this morning as part of an investigation into a “Mexican-based cocaine and meth organization,” federal authorities said.

The Drug Enforcement Agency’s office in Denver said in a tweet Thursday morning that agents, along with Aurora police, served warrants at “multiple” locations in Aurora, but did not specify how many locations or how many arrests had been made.

Aurora police said they are working with the agency, but referred questions to DEA. The DEA’s Denver field office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
