AURORA | A man was fatally shot just after midnight Monday, July 18, at an apartment complex in the 10700 block of East Exposition Avenue in Aurora, near the southwest corner of Expo Park.

Aurora police spokeswoman Officer Crystal McCoy said officers were called to 10782 E. Exposition Ave. and found a man with a gunshot wound. That man — whose identity will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office pending identification and notification of next of kin — was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital.

Aurora police’s major crimes/homicide unit and crime scene investigations unit have taken over the investigation, which is ongoing. No suspect information has been released by police, and no arrests have been made yet.
