AURORA | A man who dubbed himself the “King of Montbello” and robbed several businesses in Denver and Aurora could spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted last week.
Jaylen Noble, 21, was convicted last week of 16 counts of aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and theft. He faces between 25 and 336 years in prison when he is sentenced next month.
According to prosecutors, Noble was the leader of a gang of robbers police dubbed the “Buckley Bello Bandits” because they robbed several businesses in Denver’s Montbello neighborhood and the South Buckley Road corridor in Aurora during the summer of 2010.
Prosecutors said when Noble was arrested he told investigators he was the “King of Montbello.” He told investigators though he enjoyed wide support from residents of north Aurora and Montbello and said, “I am Montbello.”
But, prosecutors said, when it came time for Noble’s trial, several people, including his accomplices, identified him as the ring leader of the group of robbers.
“Noble’s ignoble acts have earned him a double-digit prison sentence,” Arapahoe County District Attorney George Brauchler said in a statement announcing Noble’s conviction. “His fellow inmates may choose to crown him king of his cellblock but the good people of Denver and Aurora are done with him.”
In all, prosecutors said Noble and his accomplices robbed eight people in Aurora at gunpoint, fleeing with cash. Those robberies were in addition to four in Denver, one in which prosecutors say Noble fired his trademark silver revolver at an employee from a Sonic Drive-In who chased after him.
Deputy district attorneys Anne Kelly and Brian Sugioka, who prosecuted the case, said it amounts to justice.
“Today the jury held Noble accountable for terrorizing eight hardworking people in Aurora. The business and the residents of this community are safer today because justice was done,” they said in a statement.
In the Denver case, Noble was convicted of robbery and several other charges last year. A Denver jury acquitted him of an attempted murder charge in those cases, but he was sentenced to 37 years in prison on the Denver charges. He won’t be up for parole in that case until 2034, when he is 42.
He is also serving a federal prison sentence for bank robbery, prosecutors said.
One of Noble’s accomplices, Brendan Warrior, 21, was convicted last spring for his role in the Aurora robberies. He is awaiting sentencing on the Aurora charges, but is already serving 12 years in prison for his role in the Denver robberies.
Prosecutors said several investigators worked on the case, including Aurora police Gang Unit Detective Nathan Meier and investigators from the FBI, Denver police and Denver District Attorney’s office.

LMFAO…..now you can be king of your monkey cage…..who’s your daddy now? uneducated baboons and certainly obama voters.
SOAE – Sitting on A$$ Eating – now you can be king of the Buffet…do you really thnk people who commit crimes like this are out voting in force.
You are such a scared little girl in a big fat body who is afraid everyone one is out to conspire against you. Did you ever stop to think that maybe it is not a conspiracy….just the fact that no one likes you because you talk down to everyone and think you know everything despite your lack of grammar, spelling and insight. You have been dodging my questions for months with nothing to say but baboon..welfare pimp..or OBAMA…your FOX education is failing you.
Have you ever watched fox news? no….so shut your baboon mouth….i watch both sides and the left is nothing but name calling…no logic….oh how’s your poverty pimp mother?
Actually I watch Fox News often. They have created quite their own reality haven’t they. You wouldn’t know logic if you were stuck in a Venn Diagram. My mother is doing great, thanks for asking. Is your still pulling down business on Colfax or did your fat ass being born ruin her goods?
There is a reason Fox has stated they are not a news channel themselves…they are an entertainment channel.
Do you also believe that the tortoise and hare really had a race or that the big bad wolf blew down the pigs houses.
Talk to you later, and be a big girl today…try to not be afraid of everyone and everthing.
Nice………robbery and assault resulting in double digit prison term, but enjoys support from residents of aurora and montbello
I know both of these young men and they are not the monsters media makes them out to be. People are entitled to their own opinions but the justice system is so biased against black men. George Zimmerman walks free, Casey Anthony walks free, yet they have actually murdered people. People will never understand their situation until you have walked in their shoes, which you never will. These two men will always have my support regardless of what anyone says, I know they are good people because they were some of the most supportive, kind and sweet people I have ever met. I have experienced the real them so until you have any idea about who they are besides what you see on t.v. please know that your opinion is simply…an OPINION. Please continue with your day and focus on YOU and making YOU better, not people whom you have never met.
I fully agree! I went to school with jaylen and know what a kind person he is however I do not support their actions. Whats done is done and I still pray for him but worrying about you is really powerful. Unless u knew them you cant really speak with value and even then we are no one to judge
Take this and do better.
