AURORA | The Arapahoe County coroner’s office identified a man slain early Thursday morning near the Gardens on Havana as 21-year-old Alexander Joseph Johnson.
The coroner said Johnson, who lived in Aurora, died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
According to a statement from Aurora police, officers responded to the Viridians at the Gardens apartments around 12:35 a.m. In a car outside the apartments at 1276 S. Joliet St., police said they found Johnson suffering multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where police said he died.
Police have not released information on any possible suspects.
