Amid reports that a second person may have been involved in a mass shooting at an Aurora movie theater, police today stressed that they believe James Holmes acted alone.
In a statement to the press Sunday morning, Aurora police said they interviewed an associate of Holmes, but they do not believe that person was involved.
Media reports Saturday said Holmes’ friend from medical school was a “person of interest” in the shooting that left 12 dead and 58 injured at the Century 16 Theater in Aurora. Police said those reports were inaccurate.
