Physical anthropology, Chinese, and online marketing will be among the new subjects offered at the Community College of Aurora this fall.
The college announced seven new courses to figure into the fall 2012 course schedule, a selection that includes the course titles consumer behavior, e-commerce marketing, Chinese language I and II, ASP.Net web application development, C# programming and physical anthropology with lab. The fall semester begins at the school’s CentreTech and Lowry campuses at the end of August.
The new crop of classes include a stress on online curriculum, with the e-commerce course focusing on marketing strategies specifically tied to the web and the programming courses focused on literacy in new programming languages. Both Chinese courses will focus on proficiency in writing characters, listening and speaking, while the anthropology course is set to include a lab rooted in evolutionary concepts, skeletal anatomy, primate biology, human evolution, human variation patterns and forensics.
