AURORA | They’ll come. They’ll saw. They’ll wrench.

High school students enrolled in trade programs across the Denver metro area will put their skills to the test at the regional SkillsUSA Competition held at the Cherry Creek Innovation Campus.

Student participants will receive a set of plans and must complete their projects within a designated timeframe, demonstrating expertise in various trades, including automotive maintenance and repair, aviation maintenance, solo carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry and a team-building challenge.

Winners in each category will advance to the SkillsUSA Colorado State Competition, scheduled in Pueblo from April 9 through April 11.

The competition is open to the public.
