AURORA | A dispute at an undisclosed Denver gas station early Saturday among juveniles and young adults in two cars turned into a car chase, then a shooting that left one boy injured, according to Aurora police

“The incident began at a gas station in Denver where the two vehicles were,” Aurora police spokesperson Sydney Edwards said in a statement. “An argument began between the two and it escalated.”

The incident was reported to dispatchers just after midnight.

“Both vehicles left the gas station, and a car chase between the two began,” Edwards said, “which moved them into Aurora and resulted in the shooting.”

The shooting occurred in Aurora somewhere along the 11000 block of East 33rd Avenue.

The wounded boy sustained serious injuries, but he is expected to survive, police said.

No other injuries were reported.
