AURORA | Two-time Pulitzer Prize winning Washington Post associate editor Bob Woodward will be the keynote speaker for Aurora Economic Development Council’s annual A-List event.

One of the largest business gatherings each year across the Denver metro area, AEDC’s event is slated for 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Wings Over The Rockies Air and Space Museum, 7711 E. Academy Blvd. in Denver. More than 2,000 leaders from the realms of business, politics and beyond are expected in attendance.

Woodward, one of the most-recognizable faces of American journalism, is an associated editor with The Washington Post, where he started working in 1971. His tenure at the Post has seen two Pulitzer Prizes, including one in 1973 for the coverage he and Carl Bernstein produced on the Watergate scandal.

Outside of the newspaper business, Woodward has authored or co-authored 17 national best-seller books. “All the President’s Men,” his collaboration with Bernstein, was called “perhaps the most influential piece of journalism in history” by Time magazine on its list of 100 best non-fiction books.

Woodward joins a list of prominent A-List speakers that has included President Bill Clinton, former CIA director Michael Hayden and pro tennis star Andre Agassi.

This year’s presenting sponsor for AEDC’s A-List event is RIDA Development Corporation. The Houston, Texas-headquartered real estate company is the developer on the massive Gaylord hotel and conference center project on the eastern side of Aurora.
