Tamara Mohamed is the Director of Community Relations for the Aurora Chamber of Commerce. When she is not serving as the staff liaison for the Government Affairs Committee and the Diversity and Inclusion Council, she likes to take to the slopes, during the ski and snowboard season. A self taught snow boarder, Mohamed said the first time she went up the mountain, it admittedly took her three hours to get back down. She has since gotten a better grasp on tackling the slopes, having been an avid rider for eight years. Originally from Montreal, Mohamed moved to the states in 1992, when she was nine, and speaks French.Photo by Philip B. Poston/Sentinel
Tamara Mohamed is the Director of Community Relations for the Aurora Chamber of Commerce. When she is not serving as the staff liaison for the Government Affairs Committee and the Diversity and Inclusion Council, Mohamed loves to bake. She has been baking since childhood, which she did mostly with her mother. When her family first moved to Colorado from Canada, her mother would bake cakes to occupy her time while she was looking for work. She became quite good at it and began baking cakes for special events, such as holidays and birthdays. Her father also has an affinity for baking, with it being his first job.
