Those suspects entered the Starbucks at Arapahoe and Parker roads before 5:20 a.m. In addition to the masks and gloves, the black males were wearing black hoodies and black pants, said Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Julie Brooks.

“They were both armed with semi-automatic handguns,” Brooks said. “This was a very aggressive robbery. They did seem experienced.”

Three people were inside the coffee shop at the time of the robbery. They were not injured, but Brooks did say they were shaken up by the crime.

Both of the suspects left on foot with the cash from the robbery. While deputies brought in dogs to help search the area, Brooks says the men were not found.

Early on the morning of Oct. 27, two men wearing surgical masks committed a robbery at a 7-Eleven located at West Alameda Avenue and South Bannock Street. In light of that similarity to this latest robbery, Brooks confirmed that Arapahoe County deputies will be reaching out to Denver and other surrounding police agencies.

“Obviously it is too early to know whether or not this robbery is related to any others in the area,” said Brooks. “That’s certainly something that our investigators will look at both within our jurisdiction and surrounding jurisdictions.”

The Starbucks re-opened about two hours after the robbery.
