AURORA | Reflecting the growing importance and influence of the state’s third-largest city and its surrounding region, publishers of the Aurora Sentinel launched Aurora magazine this week.

“A community like Aurora deserves its own city magazine, and we’re excited about providing this resource,” said Aurora Media Group publisher James Gold.

The glossy, city lifestyle magazine will publish monthly and online, bringing readers stories about the people, events, places, issues, restaurants and the life that makes Aurora, the southeast metro area and all of Colorado such a unique place to live.

“There’s no arguing that those of us lucky enough to live here have access to the good life,” said Editor Dave Perry. “Aurora magazine helps readers make the good life even better.”

The premier issue boasts numerous departments and features, as well as the region’s only comprehensive collection of events and restaurants. An assortment of those listings appear each month in print, Perry said, but the online version of the magazine offers readers endless dining and event suggestions.

The magazine website is www.TheAuroraMagazine.com.

Inside the January 2013 issue, award-winning staff writers offer readers a look at the city’s future as seen by prominent residents, an in-depth tour through one of the country’s most prominent and innovative wellness projects, a ride in a Rolls Royce, a date-night in Southlands, a nostalgic look at the galaxy, a taste of the state’s bountiful brews, a tour of an urban farm, flying on a bike and much more.

“In a market saturated with every type of media there is, there’s nothing like this anywhere in the Front Range, and this one is for the Aurora area,” Perry said. “It’s an inviting mix of relevant news and entertaining features.”

The magazine will begin distribution among households and businesses most prized by advertisers, according to Advertising Director John DiMambro.

“We offer advertisers the unique opportunity to reach a market no one else offers,” DiMambro said. “And advertisers can showcase themselves in a way that only a top-quality magazine makes possible.”

Aurora magazine is available for subscription for $30 a year. Single copy price is $4. Details are on the magazine website at www.TheAuroraMagazine.com.
