The East 13th Avenue project proposes mobility upgrades including widened sidewalks, enhanced crosswalks, a shared use path and improved lighting. The improvements were first identified in the city’s 2023 13th Avenue Multimodal Mobility Study.

The project area spans four blocks of East 12th Avenue from Yosemite Street to the east, then along East 13th Avenue to the High Line Canal Trail just east of Chambers Road.

In addition to East 13th Avenue, the city is planning to invest in the nearby Freedom Park, Havana Park and General’s Park. The city is seeking feedback to help guide the upgrades for each park.
