AURORA | Aurora police asked residents Wednesday morning near the 1800 block of South Olathe Street, near Horseshoe Park, to stay inside as a SWAT unit incident unfolded.

“The scene is secure,” police said Wednesday morning. “The shelter in place order has been lifted. “

Police issued the warning at about 7 a.m. and then rescinded it at about 7:50 a.m.

“A shelter in place order has been issued for residents within a square block of the scene,” police said in a social media post. “For your safety, please stay indoors and away from any windows until the order is lifted”.”

Police said SWAT unit members were acting on a search warrant.

“Officers will be in the area for several more hours for the follow-up investigation,” police said.

  1. This drug manufacturing house in the neighborhood shrieks of a bigger issue. The owner of the house is a San Franciso Corporation. These houses like this one are from their rental portfolio. After looking at the Colo. SOS corporation registration they show several states they have filed as corporations. They have 43 records of owned properties in Adams County all filed to the same SFO corp. No telling how many in Arapahoe county, their web site operates different, but I suspect a full stock of houses. Now, with a little imagination this company has planned to make all these as low-income rentals. All this inventory who knows how much as tax payer subsidized available to turn the neighbor into a war zone like this. Will anyone be surprised if we find out our local city housing authority was involved in paying the rent? Houses like these with people that have no-interest, no respect, in anything but to scheme, break the laws, and demand more and nicer housing from taxpayers. If AHA, was the agency that moved these people in, what accountability does AHA have if any? We know the SFO company could care less as long as the rent check is there. The more houses like this creeping in and with the obvious falling standards to follow, cars on blocks, RV’s, semi-trucks, accepted and unchallenged now on the streets. Aurora is doing a great job at allowing this squalor to grow. What a disgrace what this neighborhood now looks like, and city department officials do nothing, or very little. After all the police presence that they saw for themselves, don’t expect any city clean up to follow. Don’t expect to see any code enforcement in the neighborhood. Do expect more of this kind of shocking occurrences complements of your GOV.
