AURORA | Aurora police are looking into what led to the fatal shooting of a teenage boy at an apartment complex across from the Aurora Hills Golf Course Monday night.

Police were dispatched to the Aurora Hills Apartments at approximately 10 p.m. Dec. 16 after receiving reports of a shooting in the area.

Investigators found a boy who had been shot at the complex at 11922 E. Archer Pl. He was declared dead at the scene. 

The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office is expected to identify the slain boy in the coming days.

The police department’s Major Crimes/Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting as a suspected homicide. No arrests had been made in connection with the shooting as of Tuesday afternoon.

Police said investigators are still interviewing witnesses “to determine what occurred,” according to a tweet.
