AURORA | One man is dead and another in custody after a stabbing Friday morning south of the Anschutz Medical Campus, Aurora police said.
Police said officers responded at 8:05 a.m. to a report of a stabbing in the 13000 block of East 13th Avenue. The area is just a couple blocks south of the bustling medical campus on East Colfax Avenue. When officers arrived they found a man who had been stabbed multiple times. The man was rushed to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The man’s name has not been released.
Police said investigators “were able to obtain a description of the suspect” and an officer later spotted him on an RTD bus at East Mississippi Avenue and South Chambers Road. The suspect, whose name has not been released, was arrested “without incident,” police said.
