AURORA | Police are now offering a $3,500 reward for information about who is responsible for spray painting racial slurs on the doors of three Aurora families.
The incidents happened Dec. 10 and Dec. 11 at apartments near the 6700 block of South Rivera Court. The victims had racial slurs and “KKK” spray painted on their doors.
Police initially announced a $2,000 reward through Denver Crime Stoppers, but said Wednesday that the department’s reward fund is offering an additional $1,500.
“These bias-motivated crimes will continue to be a high priority for the Aurora Police Department. Detectives and police-area representatives are working with the community, and additional patrols have been added to the area,” police said in a statement.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Detective Ryan Belleau at 303-627-3156. Tipsters can also call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
