AURORA | Aurora police and the FBI’s Denver office are looking for a man who robbed an Aurora bank Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 9.

The robbery suspect entered the U.S. Bank at 2990 S. Peoria St. around 3:55 p.m. and fled the store, heading north of the bank on foot, according to Aurora police and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force.

The suspect is a white male, between 20 and 30 years of age, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build, brown hair and a tribal-style tattoo on his upper left arm of a looping swirl and two circles. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a dark shirt and dark hat.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call RMSSTF Agent Mike Thrapp at 303-313-6810. Tipsters can also call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP. Crime Stoppers tipsters may remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
