DENVER | A bank robbery suspect who was shot multiple times by an Aurora police officer is expected to survive.
Police spokesman Frank Fania tells The Denver Post (https://bit.ly/124a8sk ) a man entered the U.S. Bank near East Cornell Avenue and Peoria Street at about 12:20 p.m. Saturday and demanded money.
A police officer who was in the area saw the suspect flee and followed the man’s vehicle up a dead-end cul-de-sac. Fania says the officer shot the man when a threat was “seen or perceived.”
The suspect’s name has not been released.
