AURORA | Prosecutors have charged a 29-year-old man with murder in connection with a fatal stabbing last month in a northwest Aurora alley, district attorney officials said Wednesday.
The Adams County District Attorney’s Office filed a first-degree murder charge against Milton Oney Euceda-Velasquez in the Sept. 16 killing, officials said in a statement.
The stabbing victim was identified as 25-year-old Jose Danilo Montes-Garcias of Aurora, according to the Adams County coroner office.
Euceda-Velasquez also faces counts of second-degree murder, aggravated robbery, second-degree arson and tampering with physical evidence. He is scheduled for a court appearance Oct. 24 in Adams County District Court.
At about noon Sept. 16, Aurora police were called to an alley between Hanover Street and Havana streets near East 19th Avenue after reports of an altercation. Officers found Montes-Garcias at the scene with multiple stab wounds, police said at the time.
