AURORA | A man suspected of robbing three metro area banks — and of casing two more in recent weeks — has been arrested in Pueblo, the FBI said Tuesday.
Eloy Montoya, 19, of Pueblo, was arrested there Saturday after Denver Crimestoppers received multiple tips that he was the man seen in surveillance images released last week.
According to the FBI, Montoya robbed a Wells Fargo Bank at 1001 S. Monaco St. in Denver on July 9, then July 17 around 9 a.m. robbed a Chase Bank at 1627 S. Havana Street in Aurora. That robbery came a week after employees at the same Chase Bank saw the man behaving suspiciously there.
An hour after the Aurora robbery, the FBI said the man robbed a Key Bank at 5250 Leetsdale in Denver.
In each case, the FBI said the man presented a demand note, received an undisclosed amount of money, then fled.
Employees at a bank on East Hampden Avenue also saw the man acting suspiciously in that bank around July 17, about a half hour after the Aurora robbery and a half hour before the second Denver robbery.
The suspect in each robbery had a tattoo on his face that was clearly visible in some of the surveillance images.

WELL……is he here legally?….inquiring minds want to know.
