AURORA | A suspect is in custody in connection with a brutal beating last week that left a man on life support.
Police have not released the suspect’s name, but said Wednesday he was arrested in connection with the Aug. 14 beating of Ricky Thompson near East Quincy Avenue and Buckley Road.
Thompson was seriously injured in the beating, police said, and is not expected to survive.
Police are still looking for witnesses, including two white females, possibly mother and daughter, who helped Thompson in the minutes after the beating. Police said the women were in a minivan, but don’t have details on its color or make.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP or Detective Warren Miller at 303-739-6117. Tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
