AURORA | The Arapahoe County sheriff’s office says they have identified a man suspected of several robberies and attempted robberies at area pharmacies in recent weeks.

The sheriff’s office said Tuesday, March 29, an arrest warrant has been issued for 35-year-old Nicholas Cattaneo. Cattaneo, who is still at large, is facing aggravated robbery, possession of a controlled substance, felony menacing and other charges, the sheriff’s office said in a statement,

In the statement, the sheriff’s office said Cattaneo is the suspect in a March 5 robbery at a Rite Aid in Centennial. Later that day, the same man robbed a Safeway pharmacy near southeast Aurora at 20153 E. Smoky Hill Road.

In both cases, the sheriff’s office said the man claimed he had a bomb and demanded several medications.

The sheriff’s office said Cattaneo is also suspected in numerous other robberies and attempted robberies in several other jurisdictions. The most recent robbery happened Monday.

Cattaneo is described as a white male, 5 feet 11inches tall, about 200 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 303-913-STOP or the sheriff’s office at 303-795-4711. Deputies say Cattaneo is believed to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
