AURORA | A concerned apartment resident is credited with getting emergency medical help after his upstairs neighbor was found shot and critically injured late Friday, according to Aurora police.
A resident in Richfield Apartments at 17142 E. Adriatic Drive said he was prompted to check on an upstairs neighbor at about 10:15 p.m.
The “downstairs neighbor heard a commotion in the apartment above,” Aurora police said in a statement. “They went upstairs and located a man inside of his apartment who had been shot.”
The neighbors called rescuers, who took the injured man to a hospital for treatment.
Police said the shooting victim was critically injured during the shooting.
“Officers are currently following up on leads but have not made any arrests or obtained suspect description,” police said.
Police said anyone with information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said.
