AURORA | Police said 2 unidentified people were shot and injured in some way early Sunday during a shooting in 3100 block of Peoria Street in north Aurora.
Officers were called to the area at about 2:45 a.m. to investigate reports of a shooting.
“Shortly after arriving at the scene, officers were informed of two victims who self-transported to separate, local hospitals,” police spokesperson Joe Moylan said in a statement. “It was later determined the two victims were connected to the shooting reported on Peoria Street.”
Moylan said that as of Sunday afternoon, police were unclear about the nature and gravity of the injuries and other details about the victims.
Police said more details would be released Monday.
