AURORA | A unidentified male was shot and injured Sunday night at an Aurora Hills area apartment, according to police.
Police were notified about the shooting at about 9:30 p.m. at an apartment on the 11900 block of East Maple Avenue.
“One male did self-transport to a local hospital with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries,” police said in a statement. “The age of the victim is not known.”
Police said there was no information available about the suspect, and it was unclear whether the victim knew the shooter.
“However based off the evidence at the scene, officers do not think there is a threat to the general public,” police reported.
